Next Thursday "The Aeolians will present their third charity concert in the Town Hall Concert Chamber. The proceeds of the performance are to be handed to the Wellington Branch of fhe New Zealand Crippled Children Society and patrons will have, the double satisfaction of to that worthy cause and of hearing a recital rich in. musical and choral organisation. One of the immediate aims of the society is the pro-; vision of more adequate facilities fori the care and treatment of crippled chilten at the Wellington Hospital The value and importance of this and other work which the society has in hand cannot be overstated, but unfortunately it can work only witmn the limits of its financial resources. On Thursday evening, therefore, the public will be afforded an opportunity of fur--1 therms this very worthy cause. A line programme of part-songs, glees, and vocal works of a similar nature has been prepared including, among others, 'The Dance" and "Lullaby" from Elear's group, entitled "From the Bavarian Highlands," and "Look Down and Hearken," arranged for mixed voices by Robson. Assisting artists will be Mrs. C. Pengelly. (contralto) Mss Jocelyn Walker (piamste),and Mr. Russell Laurenson (baritone). The conductor will be Mr. Maxwell Fernie and the accompanist Mr. John Randal, L H.S.M. The box plan will open at tne D.I.C. on Monday.
