WELCOME TO PREACHER

A welcome was extended to the Rev. A. Wylie-Blue and Mrs.' Wylie-Blue,. of Belfast, by members of the Kent Ter/ace Presbyterian Church last night Sir James Elliott presided. Welcoming Mr. and Mrs. Wylie-Blua to Wellington on behalf of the congre* gation of the church, Sir James referred to the fact that his lather, the late Dr. Kennedy Elliott, who had founded the church and been its first minister, preaching for 36 years, had been sn Ulster man. His two success ors, the Rev. James Baird, Timaru, who had been at Kent Terrace Church for 12 years, and the Rev. W. Gtlmour, who had been at the church since 1934, were also Ulster, men. The clerk of the Wellington Presbytery, the Rev. R. Inglis, welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Wylie-Blue to Wellington o» behalf of the Piesbytery. ■_ Messrs. R, Johnson, J. Bell, ana Glr mour also spoke.
