SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. The last portion of the final member of the recent series of westerly depressions is now moving off the North Island and pressure Is rising everywhere. An Intense anticyclone covers eastern Australia and the western Tasman Sea. The weather has been changeable In eastern and far northern district*, but for the most part cloudy to overcast. Bain has fallen in most districts, though few heavy totals are reported. There have been some hallstorms also. Temperatures were moderate to mild yesterday, but faUlne this morning.
