KINDERGARTEN DANCE
MOTHERS' CLUB ENTERTAINS
The Owen Street Kindergarten Mothers' Club held a very successful fancy-dress "nautical" dance in the kindergarten recently. More than fifty couples danced to the excellent music provided by Mrs. Robb, and some original and striking costumes were prominent. The hall was decorated in nautical fashion, and each dancer on arrival was asked to "sign on' the s.s. Nancy Jones," the passenger list being presented to Miss Nancy Jones, director of the kindergarten, at supper 1 'community songs led by Mr. Walter Longhurst proved most popular, ana items were given by Master Bob McCrea, Miss Joan Leek, Messrs. Saunders and MacAllister, and Messrs. Hill and Thomas, At the conclusion of the dance Mrs. Longhurst, president of the club, thanked Mrs. Robb for her services and made her a presentation accompanied by a bouquet. Mr. Longhurst and Mr. Tom McCrea were in charge pf proceedings, and many
thanks were expressed to them for their efforts. Among those present were: —Mr. and Mrs. Hatton, Mr. and Mrs* Wright, Mr. and Mrs., Longhurst, Mr. and Mrs. Huston, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Kenward, Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant, Mr and Mrs; Perkins; Mrs. Jephson, Mrs. Hilton, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Leek, Mrs. Rimmer, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Maloney, Mrs. McCrae, Mrs. Howell, Mrs, HHls, Mrs. Hollick, Mrs. Bobb; Misses Wright (2), Jessie Jones, M, Thompson, Peggy Martin, Phyllis Rees, Co'ila Olsen, Adeline Williams: and Messrs. P. McCrae; Walter Longhurst, Nelson Hill, Joe Thomas, Bob Saunders Anton Vogt, Burns, Harris, D. Longhurst, D, Ball, Vin Dear, Cook. The prizes > for the best costumes were won by Miss Nancy Jones and Mr. Tom McCrea.
