MISHAP TO RAILWAY CRANE

TIMARU, This Day
A minor mishap on the railway line at Arowhenua, just south of Temuka, delayed the southbound express eighteen minutes this morning. An axle broke on a crane which was being brought back to Timaru by a train from Ashburton after having been used on the reconstruction of the Temuka Bridge yesterday. The line was soon cleared and little disorganisation resulted. >
