HAPPY REUNION

CONSUL AND FAMILY Hiroshi, aged ten, Kiwamu, a year younger, and Mihako, only three and a half months old and in a nurse's arms, gazed upon Wellington, their future home, from the upper deck of the Awatea this morning and seemed not in the least concerned at the clicking of cameras and the general bustle around them. They submitted graciously to being photographed—Mihako, the girl, made a particularly pleasing picture against the colourful background of the nurse's robe —as members of a group which included their father, Mr. K. Gunji, the recentlyappointed Japanese Consul-General in New Zealand, and their mother, who had brought them out from Japan. The reunion was a most happy one. Mrs. Gunji has a charming personality and she appeared well pleased with her first view of Wellington and the warmth of the welcome accorded to her and the children.
