ALIENS BARRED
Over 80 people flying to England were refused permission to land at Croydon last year. Altogether 1677 aliens were refused permission to land. The number of foreigners actually arriving for holidays and business visits was well over half a million, about a thousand a week more, than ia 1936. It is presumed that the increase was because it was Coronation year.
