MOTORIST DROWNED
CAR PLUNGES INTO LAGOON (By Telegraph—Press Aieoeiation.) ] AUCKLAND, June 5. In sight of his wife and two children, Thomas Mawson, a farmer, of Aramatai, about 19 miles from Te Kuiti, wa» drowned tonight when his motor-car plunged into a lagoon below the road. Mrs. Mawson and the children, aged 13 and 10, had been trying to push the car after it had stalled on the road, and it suddenly got out of control and rolled over, a ten-foot embankment. Mr. Mawson was apparently trapped and Mrs. Mawson was unable to releart him in time..
