"UNCERTAINTY AS TO THE | FUTURE" | "Despite the fact that the year has been satisfactory, your directors, owing to the uncertainty of the future, consider that the assets of the company should be realised and the capital returned to shareholders; and accordingly recommend the passing of a special resolution placing the company in voluntary liquidation. This statement , is included in the annual report of Dominion Builders Supplies (Ghrigtchurch), Ltd., for the year ended April 30, 1938; and the proposal that the company.be wound up voluntarily will be : placed before shareholders on June 29. It. is proposed that Mr. R. T." Toss will, one of the directors, be appointed liquidator. The directors' report states that net profit for the year, after provision for depreciation and bad debts, is £1997, which, added to the £206 brought forward, makes available a total of £220.3. The board recommends payment of a dividend of 5 per cent, which will absorb £1136. . . Liabilities include capital, £22,716, sundry creditors, - £1124; bank .overdraft, £47: reserve and appropriation account, £3794; unclaimed dividends, £79. The assets include freehold properties,- ■ £3514; leasehold, £80; plant, machinery, futniture, and stocks, £11,575; mortgages on properties, £4463; sundry debtors, £8129.
