TRAPPED IN FIRE
JAPANESE BOYS ARSON SUSPECTED IN VANCOUVER (Received June 1,42.30 p.m.) VANCOUVER, May 31,
Anti-Japanese sentiment is suspected in connection with the death of three Japanese boys who were trapped in a fire in a Japanese tenement' which was totally destroyed. After the fire an inquiry revealed that the water connections had been severed prior to the blaze and that a man had been seen fleeing from the basement. Twenty occupants cscaped, a woman breaking her back in leaping from an upper window.
