DOUBTFUL SOUND ROCK. The sunken rock westward of the smal | Island in Gaol Passage, Doubtful Inlet, Is re ported to lie further south than charted Vessels are advised to keep close to the south [em shore of the passage. The position is lat 45deg 18mln .55, and long. 166deg 53min .8 E (approx.). SUBMERGED ROCK. ( Local fishermen report a. submerged rock ii the passage south-west of Entry Island li Breakaea Sound (position, lat. 45deg. 3Gmln Is., long. 166deg 42min .2 E„ approx.). Th I area has not been examined. j PONUI PASSAGE LIGHT. On June 1. 1938, the Ponui Passage ligh (position, lat. Visual observations taken from the Slgna Station, South Manukau Head, on May 10 1938, indicate that the main channel has re formed In Its old position with the loadlni beacons and lights in line 074deg. The channel is approximately half a mile In width. Tin position is lat. 37deg 03min S., long. 174dcf 31min E. (approx.). NANIWA MARU EARLIER. Advice has been received from the Naniwfl Maru that she now expects to arrive at Auckland on Friday morning instead of on Tuesday She is now expected at Wellington Tuesday. THE WESTMORELAND. The Westmoreland, which had been loadlni at Wellington, left on Tuesday night for Londor and East Coast ports of the United King dom. PORT DENISON LEAVES. The Port Denison, after completing her load ing programme at Lyttelton, left there at ! p.m. on Tuesday for London. She will trave via tho Panama Canal. MATAROA DUE TODAY. The Mataroa, en route from London to Wellington, Is due to berth at I'lpitea Wliarf al about 4 p.m. today. Sho will complete hei discharging at Auckland. TAMAROA LEAVES COLON. The Tamaroa, which left Wellington on April 27 for United Kingdom porta, left Color on Tuesday afternoon. AWATEA FOR SYDNEY. The Awatea left Wellington last night for Sydney, where she is due on Saturday. She will leave Sydney on Monday for Wellington, and Is due back here on Thursday. COPTIC AWAY. The Coptic, having completed her loading, left Napier last night for London. WAIKAWA BAY SHOAL.
