The Leader of the Opposition in th® Senate, Mr. Arthur Meighen, demanded that the Dominion exert its authority in the provinces to meet a crisis which he said was threatening the disintegration of the Dominion, and said that* provincial legislation, even if it is constitutional, can be disallowed in favour of the public good.
