CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
: «. The Cambridge Terrace Congregational, Church celebrated its 51st anniversary on Sunday, when the services were conducted by the Bev. Brian Kiiroy, M.A-. in the morning, and the Rev. Arthur Muriel, M.'C, B.A M at night. Mr. Kiiroy took as. the subject for his discourse, "Memories and Hopes," Mr. Muriel's topic for the evening being "Christ at the Door." The choir contributed several anthems. Good congregations wer« present on both occasions. A goodly company assembled at thft social gathering last evening, including two foundation members of the church, Messrs. Andrew Gray, and A. M. Lewis. The Rev. Arthur Muriel presided. Statements by the secretary, Mr. T. E. Reynolds*, and Mr. Thos. Forsyth, treasurer, showed that : good work had been done during the past year by the minister and. workers. The spiritual tone . was good,- and membership had increased. The property was free of.debt, mainly owing to the generosity of an anonymous donor, which liquidated the adverse balance of £178 remaining on the manse. A tribute was paid to. the excellent help afforded by the ladies' guild. Items of music were provided by the Misses Nola and Jean JPotton, Messrs. T. L. Cocks and K. • H. -Reynolds, and the church choir,: Miss Lily Thawley, L.R.S.M., and Miss Jannet Reynolds, A.T.C.L., were accompanists. Greetings were brought from sister churches by the Revs. H. W. Kewell, M.A., and J. Gilkison snd Pastor G. Davison. The evening. concluded with the singing of the Doxology. Supper was -served ,bjr w* ladies.
