Closing of legation
OFFICIAL BRITISH REGRET (British Official Wireless.) •sRUGBY, May 16. The surprise and regret of the British Government at the decision of the Mexican Government to close Uti legation in London were expressed by the Parliamentary Under-Secretapry of State for Foreign Affairs, Mri B, A. Butler, in a reply to a question in the House of Commons. / He said he could not forecast any further action which might toe undertaken, tut the Government ■would naturally continue its best endeavours to protect the substantial British commercial interests in Mexico. He expressed the hope that any efforts by the British Government to secure a settlement with Mexico would be supported in all quarters of the House.
