INTEREST ON BONDS
NO CUTS IN CANADA

OTTAWA, April 29,
Speaking in the House of Commons, the Minister of Finance (Mr. C. Dunning) declared that Canada would never break her pledged word by reducing the rate of interest on bonds. A proposal by the Opposition that a compulsory cut should be made in the rate of interest on Canadian National Railways debentures was rejected.
