IN SERIOUS WAY
MOTOR-SHIP ON REEF
BRISBANE, April 29.
The coastal motor-ship Bingera (919 tons) is stranded on the Great Barrier Reef. She has a heavy list to port and her forward deck is awash. Her position is regarded as serious. Ten passengers have bean landed safely and the cargo, is being unloaded.
The Bingera trades between Brisbane, Maryborough, Mackay, and Townsville.
