THE PRICE OF EGGS

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Day after day you Jet the public know the price of eggs. To our sorrow we know it without being told. It is unreasonable to charge 2s 6d a dozen for pullet eggs. There appears to be only one way to bring the price down to a reasonable level, and that is to refrain from buying. No one objects to paying a fair price. Even eggs that used to be sold at lOd a dozen are preserved and sold at 2s 6d a dozen.—l am, etc.,

DISGRACEFUL.
