HARBOUR BOARD SEATS
The three following nominees for seats on the Wellington Harbour Board all sitting members, have been returned unopposed:—
By payers of harbour dues on British ships, Messrs.,C. M. Turrell and W. H. Price.
By payers of dues on goods, Mr. D. J. McGowan.
The eight Wellington nominees, four to be returned, have already been published.
The- five nominations for the Hutt and Makara Counties, for two vacancies, are Messrs. J. Andrew, J. Cummings, D. Dickson, B. Dowse, and G. London. None is a sitting member.
The four nominations for the Wairarapa, two to be returned, are Messrs. T. R. Barrer and H. Morrison (sitting members) and C. C. Kenward and J. Walker.
The four: nominations for two vacancies for the Manawatu are Messrs. M. A. Elliott and W. L. Fitzherbert (sitting members) and M. Briggs and W. H. Oliver.
The Government nominee, Mr. J. O. Johnson, has been appointed as from Thursday.
