(From "The Post's" Representative.) WANGANUI, April 28.
The autumn show of the Wanganui Horticultural Society opened today. Wanganui is one of the few societies to stage a show this autumn, as many of the large societies have abandoned the venture owing to the failure of chrysanthemums. While the Wanganui blooms were not up to the usual standard of quality, the quantity was not very much below the usual amount.
For the first time in nearly seven years, the Palmerston North Chrysanthemum and . Wanganui Chrysanthemum Club did not hold their inter-club contest as Palmerston North could not stage 24 good blooms. Wanganui Club .won hy, default,
