EMPIRE DAY BALL empire Day, May 24, the birthday of Queen Victoria (who has been brought so much before the public recently), has been chosen by the English-speak-ing Union for its annual ball, which will take place in St. Francis' Hall. Every effort is being made to. make I the ball a complete success, arid committees are thinking out appropriate decorations and good supper arrangements, and have secured the best of music. The ball, therefore, should be an outstanding success, and the members of the E.S.U. and their friends are looking forward to a delightful time for dancers and a pleasant evening for all others who do not wish to dance.
