COMING SESSIONS
NO CIVIL FIXTURES YET
Twelve persons will stand their trials at the quarterly session of the Supreme Court which is to begin at Wellington on Monday. Three of them are charged with indecent assault; and one each with robbery'with, violence, unlawfully using an instrument with intent to procure .a miscarriage, breaking and entering with, intent to commit a crime, unlawful carnal. knowledge, failing to stop after an accident, attempted theft, negligent driving causing death, breaking, entering, and theft, and wilful and obscene exposure.' 'There are a large number of civil cases to be: heard. Eighteen are to be heard before a Judge and jury of 12, three before a Judge and jury of four, and 26 before a Judge alone. There are 11 defended divorce cases and 75 undefended petitions. Mr. Justice Reed will preside over the criminal sessions/No fixtures have yet-been made for the civil cases because no Judge is immediately available. Mr. Justice Reed has intimated that arrangements will be "made for the civil business to be undertaken shortly. . . '' .
