£2000 TO BE SENT TO HANKOW

The following cable has been received from Dr. Maxwell, secretary of the International Red Cross Committee, Hankow, in reply to an offer made by the Far East Belief Committee of the Joint Council of the Order of St. John and New Zealand Red Cross Society:— "Gratefully accept gift £2000; situation urgent;" increasing numbers of wounded and refugees. Committee will itself disburse funds and supervise expenditure.—Maxwell."
