TASMAN LINERS
THREE DUE ON MONDAY
The three Union Company liners which left Wellington on April 19 for Sydney, the Awatea, :Monowai, and Maunganui, will arrive at Wellington on Monday. The Monowai and Maunganui, with the Anzac contingent, are expected in the stream at 7 a.m., and the Maunganui will berth first, at the Pipitea Wharf. . As soon as. she has been cleared by the Customs, the Monowai will berth at the Queen's Wharf No. 2.
The Awatea is due to berth at Queen's Wharf No. 1 south at 10.30 a.m. While the Monowai and Maunganui have been away, the Awatea has made a complete round trip between Sydney and Wellington.
The Monowai will, be laid up at Wellington, but the. Maunganui will remain in commission and take over the Awatea's running in the intercolonial service, leaving for Sydney on May , 27. The Awatea, when she arrives at, Wellington on May 26, will withdraw for overhaul and will resume again on July 2, .when:.she,will leave for. Auckland and Sydney.
In the 'meantime the Awatea is commencing her winter time-table and will leave Wellington on Thursday for Auckland and Sydney.
