LONDON, April 19.
After protracted negptiatiohs, the i Earl of Harewood has accepted an offer by tenants for the purchase of the town of Lough Rea over a period of 10 years, with cancellation of' arrears, as, on an average, two years' rent is owing. ■ ,
A cablegram from London- dated December 5 stated that, according to the "Sunday Graphic" the last personal link between the Irish Free State (Eire) and the Royal Family was being severed by the Earl of Harewood's decision no longer to maintain his estates in Lough Rea, County Galway, inherited from the Earl of Clanricarde. Lord Harewood's cancellation of the rent arrears is believed to involve thousands of pounds.
