FURTHER REDUCTION OF RATES POSSIBLE

LONDON, April 19.
Cables and Wireless Ltd. announces that the ■company has undertaken that half of any surplus after paying a dividend of 4 per cent, will be applied to a reduction of the new rates.
Reductions in the cable and wireless rates on Empire communications were announced early this month.
