TOUR OF DOMINION

AUCKLAND, April 19.

Arrangements for a debating and lecture tour by two American negroes were completed at the annual meeting of the New Zealand University Students' Association, which was held in Auckland during the Easter vacation.

The team comprises Messrs. JV S. Byas and C. W. Gilton, graduates of Le Moyne College, Tennessee, who will speak in debates, and a manager, Colonel Boris Alexander, head of the department of economics at Le Moyne College. Colonel Alexander, who is a naturalised American citizen, is a White Russian by birth. The team will arrive at Auckland on June 27 and will spend almost a month in the Dominion. Debates will be held against university college representatives in Auckland, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, and lectures will be given to school pupils in these centres, and also in Rotorua, Napier, Hastings, and Timaru.

The following officers were elected by the 13 delegates present, representing the five' constituent colleges of the association: President, Mr. A. B. Blair (Auckland); executive chairman, Mr. R, S. C. Algar (Wellipgton); secretary, Mr. F. G. Christensen (Wellington) ; treasurer, Mr. D. M. Hatherley (Wellington); representative in England, Mr. A. T. S. McGhie. The retiring executive chairman, Mr. R. S. V. Simpson, Wellington, was elected a life member of the association.
