LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
CENTRAL BRANCH MEETS
The Wellington Central branch of the League of Mothers met in the Y.W.C.A. recently. The proximity of the Easter holidays and the very unpleasant weather accounted for the rather small attendance. Mrs. B. L Dallard presided.
The reading of "the Easter Message" was given by Mrs. Dallard, also two beautiful poems, "God is Love" and "The Cross of Christ."
Vocal duets by Mesdames Strong and Pumfry.' and elocutionary items by Mesdames Stinson and Morrisby were greatly appreciated. The remainder of the programme included a "Sing, Say, or1 Pay" competition, many members contributing interesting items. The pennies collected from non-performers went towards the "Christmas Tree Fund." One new member was welcomed on transfer from Karori. Afternoon tea .. was served. _
