DUNEDIN, April 19.
In the best match of, the South Island tennis tourney, Angas and Barrett (Christchurch), carried off the men's doubles title, beating the Robertson brothers, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2,' in three spectacular sets. The Christchurch men dropped, the first set in the face of the forcing, aggressive play of their opponents, who combined brilliantly. In the second set the victors got right down to it, and in'the critical set they were'too steady for their opponents. It was an interesting exhibition of hard driving and fierce smashing, both pairs volleying, splendidly.:,;:. y,.' ■ .Other finals . resulted:—Women's doubles: Misses D. Miller and N. Bishop beat Misses It. Wilson' and M. Kerr. 6-2 6-2. Mixed doubles: G. A. Pearce and Miss M. Kerr beat S. G. McDougall and Miss Miller, 4-6, 6-I,' 6-2. ,
