Lewis, discussing l'Aiglon, said the horse had won only a midweek novice race prior to carry-, ing off the Sydney Cup. l'Aiglon was a mean, hungry-looking fellow with outsize feet,. but immediately came good" after being gelded. The trainer George Price has decided to retire Egmont from the Turf owing to continued lameness. Racing at Menagle Park today, Fantan won the Three- and Four-year-old Handicap. The Iliad gelding We Three won the Novice Handicap.
