INTER-DOMINION CONTEST

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Inter-Dominion Championship Trotting Meeting, the first of its kind held in New Zealand, opened at Addington in dull and threatening weather. The track, when racing commenced was in good order. There was a large attendance, including a delegation representing Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales. .. :
The stakes for the four days total £19,275. Of this amount £12,750 will be distributed among Inter-Dominion Championship events. There will be three heats on the' first, second, and third days, and the grand final will be run on the fourth day. A schedule of points will govern the entry of horses to the grand final. The wftiner of each heat will be awarded 6 points, the second horse 2\ points, and the third horse 1 point. Horses doing the fastest net time in each heat will receive 2i- points.
The committee reserves the right to invite any starters in the qualifying events to participate in the grand final.
Points for the placed horses and the] ' one doing the1 fastest time in the grand final are as follows:—Winner, 7 points; second,, 2\ points; third, 1 point; fastest net time, 3 points. The horse which gains the highest aggregate of points in the four Championship events will be awarded the championship. Results:— ' Robert C.
