A mixed train, without an eng ir>*, ran away at Winchester shortly after noon yesterday and careered along the South Island main line to Temiika, where it was switchei on to a siding and crashed through the stop blocks, causing serious damage to track and rolling slock. This picture, which arrived today by air mail, shows the guard's van across the main line and the carriage in ivhich one passenger only was travelling on the left.
