FRANK NEIL REVUE

Theatregoers will have their last opportunity tonight to see the Frank Neil Revue Company, which is concluding a successful season at the New Opera House. A wide-range presentation of humour, vocal items, and dancing comprises a programme suited to all tastes. Jim Gerald, a comedian who has.the faculty of quickly getting on terms with his audience, keeps everyone in a simmer of amusement throughout. His sketches and cross-talk interludes, with Len Rich as an admirable foil, are irresistibly funny. Ella Shields, always popular with Wellington audiences, is as versatile as ever. Her male impersonations remain just as smart as in earlier days, and her singing of such ditties as "My Caroline," "Not All There," and the ever popular "Burlington Bertie," makes a great appeal. Don Galvan, a picturesque Mexican, sings several popular songs in pleasing voice, and the performance of Gautier's team of trained dogs is quite a show in itself. Petilo and Pesco present a clever and amusing acrobatic turn, and Arnie Hartman something out of the ordinary in the way of piano-accordion playing. U. S. Thompson, too, is a capable tap dancer, and last but not least the Beauty Ballet appears in a number of striking scenes.
