CLUBROOM DANCE

E.S.U. YOUNGER CIRCLE

The first dance of the season to be j held by the Younger Circle of the English-speaking Union took place last night, and was a great. success. The guests included officers from H.M.S. Achilles. The large E.S.U. club room made an excellent place for dancing, and it was very attractively decorated with autumn-shaded chrysanthemums. An orchestra supplied the music and the members of the committee, the Misses Adrienne Beere, Lorna Adams, Kathleen Burns, Valeric Carr, and Messrs. S. Home, S. Groom, E. H. Florence, and F. Pears, served the supper. Mrs: G. A. Perry, secretary of the English-speaking Union, was the official hostess and she was assisted by Miss Ngaire Blundell, the Younger i Circle secretary. Mrs. Perry was wearirig an ecru-coloured lace frock and a wine velvet jacket, and a floral crepe frock was worn by Miss Blundell. Others present included Mr. and Mrs. T. Guild, Misses P. Hogg, E. Gow, Rea Hammond, Rona Sarginson, Mollie Cook, Diana King, Win. Kindred, Mary Eastward,' Violet Wood, Barbara Phelan, Elaine Webb, T. Blundell, Lorna--Kessell, M. Lawson, Peggy Hyams, Maxine White, C. Hickson Gladys Lang, and Messrs. M. Banks, N. Tosswill, T. Johnson, A. Dreigne, J. Gow, W. Mehaney, H. Johnson, G. Button, Neil Instone, K.
