TOMORROW'S EVENTS
Special matches and practices have been arranged by a number of Rugby football clubs for tomorrow. The Poneke Club will be having its field day at Miramar the programme including the Bell Cup competition. Oriental, in preparation for; their jubilee and other matches, and Pirates, who are to take part in a tournament at Wanganui during Easter, are to meet in a special match at the Emerson Street ground tomorrow, afternoon. The University Football Club is'to have a match with H.M.S. Achilles at Lyall Bay. There are also several other engagements.
The following Oriental Club players are required to be at Emerson Street Park at 2 p.m. tomorrow for a practice game against: the Pirates Club:— Brien, Murdoch, Davies (2), Franklyn, Nolan, Dallison, , Rowlands, Rebay, Hawthorne, Miller, OUiver, :. Lewis, Tourell, M. D. Smith, E. Smith, Searle, Humpherson, Ansley,, Edwards, SulH-van,-Kemp, Masters, Kelly, Levy, Jarvis. Wright,' Lennane. The University Football Club players to meet H?M.S. Achilles at Lyall Bay at 2.30 p.m. are:—McCowan, Kissell, Byers, Palmer, Larkin, Pitts, Buddie. Creed, Bannister,. Gardner, Lewis, Sullivan, Blacker, Russell, Craig, Herbert, McVeagh, Te Punga,. Caradus, Evans, Henderson, Simm, * Dean, Papps, Rogerson, Hall, O'Shea, Armour, Barnett, Gandar, Jowett, Lang^ ley, Anderson. * ■ ■' • Pirates will play Oriental (senior second division), at Emerson Street Park, at 2 p.m. The Pirates' team is as follows:— Drury, /' Johnson," Annear, Costello, Love, Jack, Smith, Kerrigan, Dyer, Burkett, McCaskill, Peterson, Hopley, Mcßae, Tichbon, Barnao, McDonald, Neames, Birchfield, Arrowsmith, Baillie, Buffett, Jenner. , j The Wellington Football Club will hold practice matches at Rongotai grounds as follows:— Age-limit grade, [1.30 p.m. to 3 p.m., all other members from 3 p.m. '.'.•• A friendly match between Johnsonville and Onslow senior's will be played on Johnsonville grounds tomorrow at 3 p.m. The referee will be Mr. E.
