(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, March 16.

Further details of Viscount Nuffield's plan to enable Dominion medical graduates to study at Oxford ars given in the deed of trust which has just been agreed on between his representatives and the University. The documents have been forwarded to the Dominion universities concerned which must now, within a limited time, approve arrangements for giving effect to the scheme.

As originally proposed, £168,000 is to be held in trust to establish three demonstratorships tenable in the departments of anatomy, bio-chemistry, pathology, pharmacology, physiology, and others which may be approved, and three clinical assistantships tenable in medical departments coming within various University decrees.

MUST BE GRADUATES,

Graduation at a Dominion university is an essential appointment. DeTnonstrators must have had research experience and assistants must have a medical qualification obtained in the Dominions or Britain. All candidates must intend, immediately on termination of their appointment, to return to their Dominion for at least five years' work of the kind carried out at Oxford.

One demonstrator and one assistant will be appointed to begin duties at the start of each academic year, but as far as possible not more than one demonstrator or assistant will be engaged'in the same department. The appointments will be for three years, and will carry emoluments of £400 per annum for women or unmarried men, and £600 for married men, payable quarterly. The last quarterly payment will be made on the return of the holder to his Dominion. The sum of £150 will be available to those appointed as travelling allowance.

SPREADING INFORMATION.

The Universities of Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand, which provide facilities for medical research, will make nominations in rotation. Those participating at present are, the Universities of Adelaide, Melbourne, Queensland, Sydney, New Zealand, Cape Town, and Witwatersrand. Provision is also made for the appointment from time to time, subject tb funds being sufficient, of a person eminent in the study and practice of medicine or some allied subject, to visit the Dominions, and by the delivery of lectures in the university or other means give information regarding research in Great Britain, and gain information to assist Oxford University in carrying out the scheme. His salary shall not exceed £1000 a year plus a travelling allowance.

ernment, led by Mr. Forbes. The Forbes Government had, in the opinion of every section of the New Zealand people, dallied too long with the depression. By the end of 1935, when New Zealand's national income was rising strongly irom its depression depth, and at the time when, for example, the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth were well on their way to complete recovery, New Zealand was still without any reductions in emergency taxation imposed during the years of stress, and had still far too much unemployment.

Mr. Savage, however, naturally interpreted his victory in his own way. He took it as a vote for himself, his party, and his platform, and has gone to work accordingly.
