SUSTENANCE FRAUDS
FINE OF £2710- IMPOSED
On two charges of making false statements for the purpose of obtaining sustenance benefits Jack Brophy, a labourer, appeared before Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. .-The amount involved was stated to be-£25 17s.
Brophy was convicted and fined £27 10s on one charge, and on the other was convicted and discharged.
