DROUGHT CONDITIONS

SYDNEY, April 7.
Drought conditions prevail over the whole of the western half of New South Wales and the northern portions of Victoria.
The entire wheat belt is dry and parched, awaiting rain. Livestock is being hand-fed, while domestic supplies of water are extremely short. Fruit crops have suffered severely as the result of the rainfall being below the average.
