An alarm of fire was given at 12.15 a.m. today when smoke, caused by the over-heating of a motor in the refrigerating plant of Adams Bruce's shop in Lambton Quay, was observed by a police constable. On the arrival of the Fire Brigade the power was turned off and the danger of an outbreak averted.
