DUNCAN IN FORM
A. D. S. Duncan, a man well to the fore in New Zealand golf for an astounding number of years, will be competing at the Wellington provincial championships at Heretaunga overEaster On Saturday afternoon he had a round at the Wellington Club links, and turned in a very nice 69. Had it not been for the fact that he was short-playing once or twice he would probably have improved his score. At the twelfth hole, for instance, a distance of about 420 yards, he had a good drive, but then took a mashie niblick, which just failed to reach the green. Probably had he taken a longer club he would have found the green and secured his four. As it was the hole saw a 5 go down on his card.
