INDIAN TEAM'S VISIT

TENTATIVE DATES

It is hoped to complete the- itinerary of the visit of the Indian hockey team to New Zealand at tonight's meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association, according to advice received from that body at last night's meeting of the Wellington, .Hockey Association.

The probable date of. the Wellington match against the Indians is Saturday, June 25, with the second Test at Wellington on Saturday, July 30, but these dates are not final.

It was stated that the Manavadar State representative team had won four all-India hockey tournaments this season.

Messrs. C. P. McKenzie (chairman), L J. Mackersey, K. Petherick, O. K. Perrin, F. L. Newcombe, and K. Falconer were appointed members of a sub-committee to deal with arrangements for the tour.

The season is to open on May 7, and entries are to close on April 27 at 5 p.m. Nominations for selectors will close on the same date.

Messrs. Perrin, R. Brown, and Kewcombe were appointed as a match and transfer committee, and Messrs. McKenzie and A. M. Macfarlane as a grounds" committee. Other appointments were: Recording secretary, Mr. J. Newport; registration secretary, Mr. L. Muir; liaison officer, Mr. C. P. McKenzie; schools secretaries, Messrs, Macfarlane and J. Goldstone. Finance and publicity committees were also appointed.
