GLENSIDE CLUB
The Glenside Golf-Club held its opening day on Sunday in ideal weather, over sixty members and friends being present: The patron, Mr. P. Tulloch, congratulated the club on its success during the past year and wished them a good season. The president, Mr. M. F. Steel, also spoke. A stroke competition over nine holes was won in the men's section by J. Favel, with E. Kelbin Green runnerup, and .in the women's section by Miss E. Tomlinson, with Mrs. H. R. MacLachlan runner-up.
Officers have been elected for the ensuing year as follows:—Patron, Mr. P. Tulloch; president, Mr. M. F. Steel; club captain, Mr. J. H. Thompson; women's captain, Mrs. H. R. MacLachlan; secretary and treasurer, Mr./E. Kelvin Green; assistant secretary and treasurer, Miss C. Sloane; management committee,' Mrs. J. Brown, Misses J. Bordman, E. Stevens, and E. Tomlinson, Messrs. N. Carnell, J. Favel, F. E. Goddard, P. MacLaclhan, and N. D. McLeod.
