CRICKET.
GANNET CUP MATCH
Each season a cricket match between a Wellington team, selected by Mr. L. J. Brabin, and a Hastings team is played for the Gannet Cup. It is one of the Easter holiday events, and takes place alternately at Hastings and Wellington. This season's match is to be played at Hastings on-Easter Saturday and Monday. The Wellington players for the trip are:—L. Dalton and A. Allen (Midland), Jarvis and Sullivan (Hutt), P. Bough and,M. Dentice (W.C. O.B.), J. Gray and Allen (Railways), J. Boddy and F. Eogers (Institute), and Alexander (Brooklyn). Mr. Brabin will be the manager. The practice match for the team, which was to have been held at Kilbirnie next Saturday, has been cancelled.
