■"' The first competitions of, .the season were played at Karori during ■ the weekend. ■ On- Saturday ■ the- usual [monthly medal round was won by W. Hutson with 94, 24—70; A. J. Craighead being next .with 82, 7—75. The fourball bogey on Sunday morning resulted in a win for G, Simmiss ! (6) and T. Younie (13), 6 up, followed by D. F. Anderson (14) and H. E.. Taylor (24), 5 up. In- the afternoon' a fourball stableford saw visitors in.R. P,ye (16) and D. TJacre (2) win with 38 points. . ' : J. D. Mclntosh, the clubs-honorary professional, covered the course on Saturday in 71, one under bogey figures.- '■■'.'•'' ' ' ■ ;i • '- Next Saturday afternoon a bogey competition will be played, while on Sunday the usual fourball bogey will take place in the morning and a fourball stableford in the afternoon.
