UNFOUNDED RUMOUR
The Town Clerk at Petone (Mr. H. Frith) has received advice from the Commissioner of Police (Mr. D. J., Pummings) to the effect that a current rumour that it is intended to close the Petone Police Station is unfounded. The Department was only. -waiting to get a suitable section for a, new station, at Petone, he states.
