FAMILY PARTY AND DANCE

A very; hapfcy time was spent recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Lawrence, Aurora Road, Johnsonville, wlien they had a family gathering to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence were married on March 27, 1888, by the Rev. William Leaf, at the Parish. Church of St.. Mark's,, Kensington, London, South-east. Mrs. Lawrence was the elder daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.-John Simkins, of Dorking, Surrey, while Mr. Lawrence, who was born within the sound of Bow Bells, and •is therefore a Freeman of the City of London, was the only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. U. A. Lawrence, Canonbury, London. There are two sons and three daughters—Messrs. H. J. and G. A. Lawrence and Mesdames Mexted, Stockdale, and r Miss , Lawrence—and ten grandchildren.

On the evening prior to the familygathering a dance was held at the Masonic Hall, Johnsonville, where old
