OTAKI TROTTING CLUB
A very enthusiastic meeting of members of the recently-formed Otaki Trotting Club was held on Friday night when the president, Mr. L. Kilmister, occupied the chair. A letter was received from Mr. J. Rockett, now of Patea, intimating his intention to donate a trophy valued at £15, and Messrs. Cooksley and Kilmister each offered-substantial trophies to be attached to the stakes. Other members expressed their preparedness to donate trophies also, and the meeting promises to be a big success. Arrangements are to be made for a broadcast description of the racing to be given on the course. Arrangements were made for a general meeting to be held on April 12.
