The Dominion,: Auctioneering Company, Palmerston .North, reports receiving a large entry of pigs at its sale on Thursday, prices for larger pigs remaining firm at late rates, with a weakening tendency for weaners. A capacity yarding of poultry was cleared. Vegetables are still in short supply, high prices ruling particularly for cabbages, cauliflowers, and lettuces. We quote as ifcllows: — Pigs.—Weanens from 4s to 8s; slips from 12s to 17s; stores from 17s 6d to 345; light porkers from 31s to 33s 6d. Poultry.—Best W.L. hens, from 3s to 4s per pair; light and inferior hens, from 2s to 2s Bd per pair; 8.0. hens, from 5s to 6s per pair; heavy cockerels, from 6s to 8s per pair; light cockerels, from 2s to 5s per pair; pullets, medium from 6s to 7s 16d each, backward from 2s to 4s each.; .
