UNUSUAL HONOUR FOR BISHOP
LONDON. February 25.
The Pope conferred an unusual honour on the Bishop of Southwark, the Pt. Rev.- Peter E. on the occasion of the golden jubilee of his ordination He is raised to the rank of archbishop, and will bear the title of Archbishop of Southwark. The dignity is personal, and makes no difference to his jurisdiction.
