PRESENTATION TO CLOUSTON

; LONDON, February! 5. The Britannia Challenge Trophy, awarded recently by the Royal Aero Club to. Flying-Officer A. <E. Clouston (Motueka), was presented to him by Colonel Sir Francis McLean, a j vicepresident of the club, this week.l Several members were present at an informal ceremony, including Mr. |J. A. It should be remembered that Ihe'ltalian team was sponsored by the Italiai Government, whereas the Britishf effort was a sporting venture on the part of Clouston himself. '

"Clouston next proceeded to j establish records between London and Cape Town. His outward flight was accomplished in. 45 hours 6 minutes and the return flight in 57 hours 23 minutes. The flight to the Cape and bn?k was made in under six days, a most meritorious performance." ,j Flying-Officer Clouston, in reply, expressed his pleasure at the honojur conferred upon him. '-1 .
