FROZEN LAMB MARKET

BEEF SUPPLIES LIGHTER

The tendency of the frozen lamb market in London is easier, but consumption satisfactory for the time of [year, according to the -weekly cabled report, received by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. Lightweight wethers and ewes are steady, owing to shortage of supplies. For other descriptions, the tendency is easier with poor demand. Frozen beef is firmer on the better demand, owing to higher prices lor chilled. Chined beci: is firmer this week on the lighter supplies. Trade in New Zealand porker pigs is slow with lightweights slightly easier. The market for baconers is steady at slightly higher prices.

The Board advises that the following are the ruling prices ol wholesale quantities of the descriptions of. frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market.
